Here’s the last sign of open road

Within a day their mess had been up and out of grey
Now would they pay a coin that lost the touch of sympathetic sway in front of me
Wrong signs make feet unkind heading for a sight unseen
Lost up in those parting feathers the next opening
So if the weather calls our show so minimal
Stretch out like a pole the roots will grow a whole centerfold
Let’s have the whole opera sing we’ll try keeping clean
And what if all the wrecks fill up in tow the goal as you know
You’ll have to fall on the wheel that rolls my way and opens every door
And become those eyes that stuck with me
While cutting all ties you bought for free
This happening surely won’t serve the enemy
